John Scoales

I'm an Elder in Leith Free Church. Kirsty (a primary school teacher) and I have been married for 32 years: we have two grown up sons.

I'm the College Officer and Property Manager at the Free Church of Scotland College and Offices in Edinburgh. My job involves providing support to five professors and twenty-eight students. I'm also responsible for the upkeep of a six-storey building on the Mound, and twenty-six flats in various parts of Edinburgh.

Kirsty and I have been part of the congregation at Leith for nearly ten years and we enjoy worshiping there. I teach Sunday School, Kirsty helps in the outreach work, and in many other ways.

For relaxation, I enjoy reading, listening to music - especially jazz - swimming, walking, and meeting with friends. At present, we share our home with a beautiful looking (but alas, notoriously crotchety) cat called Holly.
