Colin L. Macleod

I have been married to Jessie for nearly 19 years and we have four children: Matthew (18), David (16), Rebekah (13) and Lydia (10). I became a Christian 20 years ago (See Colin's testimony) and shortly after that trained to be a Social Worker in Aberdeen, having done a number of temporary jobs and completed some further education courses in a local FE College before this. Jessie and I returned to Lewis upon the completion of my studies in Aberdeen in 1991 where I began working for the local Social work Department and where I remained for 12 years. We moved from Lewis to Edinburgh in 2003 where I studied at the Free Church College for 3 years, and having completed my studies there I received a call to Leith Free Church where I have been the minister since August 2006.

In my spare time I enjoy relaxing by reading, drinking coffee and watching DVD's, especially of the '24' genre- it has to be said that Jack Bauer is my favourite fictional character of all time and the 24 series is something I can watch over and over again; I also enjoy going for walks with Jessie, playing badminton and swimming with the family, driving round the region where we live (even venturing across the border at times), going to the gym regularly and generally keeping active.
